The best laid plans

I had a day off – original plan looked something like this…

But instead it went something like this…

  1. Hear flatmates talking and laughing – wake up.
  2. make coffee
  3. receive unexpected guests in my pajamas
  4. go and pick-up coffee table and rice-cooker
  5. Go to a friend’s house and make COOKIES
  6. Come home and do spontaneous karaoke from my iPad with flatmate
  7. do cross-stitch while watching my friends play-fight

Isn’t it wonderful when the best laid plans go to pot?!

外国語習得への近道に A shortcut to learning a foreign language

Language Exchange Sendai

5月から始まった新しいプログラム、Language Exchange(LEX)!! みんな楽しんでるかな?
Language Exchange program called LEX started at the beginning of May!!  It’s really fun!
So far we have explored two topics: ‘Travel’ and ‘Self-introduction.’ LEX is really great for learning useful expressions to use in everyday life
“他の言語を学びたい!” そう思ったら、その環境に身を置くことが、外国語習得への近道に!
One of the best ways to improve your fluency in another language is to be in an environment with native speakers. If you’d like to speak with people from all over the world then LEX is the place for you!
毎週水曜日 18:00 スタイラス
毎週日曜日 11:45 ラテンカクテル
Wednesdays 6pm at Stylus Cafe, Sendai
Sundays 11:45am Latin Cocktail, Sendai

Long Time No See

She’s Back…

So I know what you may be thinking…

Where have you been? And why were you in Social Media Oblivion?

Honestly, I can’t really give you an answer, suffice to say, I was lazy, busy, and watching way too much Star Trek (guess I should cut-down).

But This will be a regular blog from now, full of weekly happenings, events, bad jokes, and semi-okay grammar. (feel free to comment, grammar Nazi’s, I’ll try to improve)

I’ll throw in Pictures, Even try to keep them Relevant, and lets all just hope for the best!!

groupsen non relevant picture here, but it’s cute.

2012 in review

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,600 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 4 years to get that many views.

Relationships Day

At church this Sunday (November 4th) there will be a Love and relationships day!

It’s going to be amazing and they’ll be talking about friendships, dating, marriage and how to have great relationships in general.

I’m really excited!

No reservations necessary, but I’m taking a notepad!

Do you want to come?
